Wildlife, including red squirrels, can be seen in the gardens. Four course dinner is served each evening, complemented by an extensive wine list, earning the hotel a prestigious two AA Rosettes. Other recent awards are Lakeland hotel of the Year: Good Hotel Guide, and Small Hotel of the Year: Cumbria Tourism. All rooms are ensuite, individually designed and maintained to a high standard. Swinside Lodge is ideal for walkers, with many breathtaking walks starting from the door.
