A choice of five double en-suite bedrooms is available, two having four poster beds and two with views towards Lake Windermere and the fells in the distance. All the guest rooms are centrally heated, have hospitality trays, colour television, a hair dryer, shaving points, ironing facilities and en-suite shower rooms with W. C. Our guest house is within easy walking distance of all the amenities Bowness has to offer; from restaurants to cinema, shops to pubs and not forgetting Lake Windermere itself (a 5 minute or so stroll). Free parking for up to five cars is also available.

The lake district is only a 20 minute drive from Barrow-in-Furness, and in and around the Barrow area there are lots of interesting places to visit which include Furness Abbey, Piel Island and Castle, the birthplace of George Romney, Foulney Island bird sanctuary, the award winning Dock Museum and Dalton Wild Animal Park is a mere 10 minutes drive from the Ambrose Hotel.Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

A handsome Edwardian villa located on the peaceful side of the village. The newly refurbished Woodlands Hotel offers guests comfortable non smoking bed and breakfast accommodation in truly charming surroundings. The 15 newly refurbished guest rooms with brand new en-suite shower rooms and White Company Toiletries, include a choice of doubles and twin rooms, with two of them located on the ground floor. All rooms are well equipped with 19" flat screen Toshiba televisions, radio alarm clocks, hairdryer and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities.
